Hello World, you're beautiful.
You'll see some changes on my blog over the next few months... what I'm hoping will be GOOD changes! What was formerly a caterpillar-type existence is shedding, and I'm looking to more brilliant colors that will be noticed from a distance. Cross your fingers for me will you? Thanks ;)
When writing that novel, let me tell you something. YOU are much more capable than you think. Yes, you need that editor, and you need a GOOD one. But your work can be self edited in ways that make an astounding difference! By you alone. There are countless tips online - countless checklists and suggestions and "must do's". But the one thing that is critical is to have CONFIDENCE in your critiquing - don't feel like you need to turn it over too soon. Rely on yourself and push yourself! Set deadlines - set aside time - make goals - and it WILL happen.
My books are meant to pull at your heart and your pulse - to make you turn pages - to tempt you to skip description just so you can satisfy the questions in your head! But with all this, I want to keep it clean, appropriate, and inspiring. You are what you read, and what do we want those reading our books to become? We want them to become better! To smile at the world, or think a little deeper. To try new things and search out adventure. To travel the world! That is what I want - what do you want?
So here I am. I'm reaching out to the cosmos - looking for other authors... other readers... students, teachers, moms, teens, and divas. Yes you! Lets connect and keep in touch. Comment and tell me about your books, your blog, your website, your mentor... whatever it is! I would love to find more of you out there - especially if you can relate to the above rambling ;)
Stop in and stay awhile
